Cardiac and Pulmonary Rehab is both an exercise and education program designed to provide a structured and safe environment to work toward controlling cardiac and respiratory problems. The primary goal is to enable participants to achieve their optimal physical, psychological and social functioning.
Criteria for Admission: Cardiac Rehab is designed for patients with recent heart attack, open heart surgery, stent placement and other cardiac conditions.
Pulmonary Rehab is designed for patients with COPD, emphysema, pulmonary fibrosis and other chronic lung diseases.
A referral by your physician is required before admission. Sessions last approximately one hour, three times per week, for 12 -36 sessions, depending on your progress.
