Perry County EMS

Perry County Emergency Medical Services is a local and District 10 of Indiana Emergency Management Service as well as a state-certified Paramedic provider of pre-hospital medical care such as Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support and Pediatric Advanced Life Support.

Adjacent to and managed by Perry County Memorial Hospital, the department provides around-the-clock, dual ambulance staffing with a staff of highly skilled Paramedics and Emergency Medical Technicians (EMT’s). Subsidized by the county, paramedics and EMT’s are dispatched throughout the area by the Tell City Police Department.

We have a fleet of five ambulances across two locations to provide for Emergency Medical Services:

  • PCMH Main Campus
  • Northern Perry County

Charles Hargis, M.D. serves as the Medical Director of Perry County Emergency Medical Services and the Emergency Department at Perry County Memorial Hospital. All staff paramedics are National Registry certified and Indiana licensed to perform advanced care to all the individuals in our community regardless of age.
