Mental and behavioral health concerns can make everyday life less fulfilling, and at times this struggle becomes challenging to handle on your own. Even simple tasks getting out of bed, taking a shower, or socializing with others can feel like burdensome tasks. But you’re not alone. Many people experience feelings of anxiety and depression at some point in their lives, and seeking help is a sign of strength and courage so you can feel better and live a more productive life.
Some people feel uneasy about the idea of seeking professional behavioral health services and addressing a psychological problem. However, depression, anxiety, and other mental health problems are quite common and come in many forms. Treatment is available. Our psychiatry and mental health services at Perry County Memorial Hospital offer help to those struggling with mental health conditions. Supporting mental wellness through personalized evaluation, medication management, and psychotherapy tailored for children, adolescents, adults, and seniors.
You may wonder if the feelings you’re experiencing are just something you have to “live with,” but at PCMH, we encourage you to seek treatment if you are experiencing symptoms of a mental health disorder. Our treatment team works closely with patients to carefully craft an individualized treatment program to meet their needs and goals.
While you participate in our behavioral health services, you will be under the care of a team of mental health professionals led by a board-certified psychiatrist who can coordinate any prescribed psychotropic medication. Psychiatrists meet with their patients regularly to monitor their condition and see how they can improve the patient’s condition with medication.
