Our Obstetrics Department

The Obstetrics Department at Perry County Memorial Hospital has been delivering babies for over 50 years. Our experienced labor and delivery team is here to provide you with exceptional and personalized care. Our staff strives to provide the best obstetrical (OB) services for expectant mothers and their families. We believe it is essential to help families transition from the hospital to home with their new baby, whether they are first time parents or part of a growing family.

We are fully equipped to meet all your prenatal, labor, delivery, postpartum, and newborn care needs. Your entire birthing experience will take place in a private, comfortable, and caring environment from admission to discharge, and our undivided attention is guaranteed.

Perry County Memorial Hospital is proud to offer two obstetrical providers. We are here to provide support for all of your needs.

Dr. Micia Roby, Family Practice-Obstetrician, is new to Perry County and began serving patients at the 13th Street Clinic in January 2021. She specializes in both family practice and obstetrical services.

Kayla Lawalin, FNP-C, is seeing patients at the 13th Street Clinic. She specializes in both obstetrical services and family practice.

All providers are accepting new patients.

We can help you feel more comfortable and answer any questions you may have about fertility, pregnancy, labor, delivery, and parenthood in general.

Obstetrical Services We Offer

We provide spacious one-room suites for labor, delivery, and recovery. Thanks to the use of modern, state-of-the-art technology, our OB providers, 24-hour triage services, lactation consultants, and fetal medicine experts can provide exceptional care close to home.

Our full range of prenatal and postpartum services include:

  • Pregnancy testing
  • Ultrasound
  • Childbirth, Breastfeeding and Newborn Care classes
  • Lactation counseling
  • Labor and delivery unit tours

All nursing staff are certified in Basic Life Support, Neonatal Resuscitation, Advanced Cardiac Life Support, and S.T.A.B.L.E. and are credentialed annually.
