PCMH COVID-19 Vaccine Update

Perry County Memorial Hospital understands the eagerness for more information to be released regarding public access to the COVID-19 vaccines.

PCMH has applied to be a Phase 1b vaccination site for hospital employees and the general public. The Indiana State Department of Health (ISDH) will notify us if we are chosen to be a vaccination site. PCMH will develop our clinical systems and protocols to work within ISDH guidelines.

The ISDH is currently determining the priority levels of availability to the general public. They continue to build their public vaccination systems within allotment of the vaccines in which they are scheduled to receive.

As soon as we are notified by the ISDH and have the systems in place to safely administer these vaccines, we will support the general public administration of COVID-19 vaccines.

PCMH continues to work and collaborate with local health departments, physicians, and all other essential stakeholders to provide patient care. PCMH is safely caring for COVID-19 or suspected COVID-19 patients at our clinics and main campus hospital, using the latest medications and treatments available.

We are greatly satisfied with the amount of public interest received thus far so we can continue to be on the forefront of this pandemic. We anticipate the vaccines will be here soon; until then, we encourage you to continue to check back for updates on our website and social media as they arrive.

Please visit the Indiana State Department of Health or Center for Disease Control for more information.
