Emergency Medical Services

Perry County Emergency Medical Services is a state-certified paramedic provider of advanced life support pre-hospital medical care. Named Indiana’s Paramedic Provider of the Year in 2004, 2006, 2007 and 2010, Perry County EMS provides the county with quality emergency-response care.

Adjacent to and managed by Perry County Memorial Hospital, the department provides around-the-clock paramedic staffing. Subsidized by the county, paramedics are dispatched throughout the area by the Tell City Police Department.

Mike Desai, M.D., serves as medical director; Brian Minton, a National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians paramedic and Flight Paramedic, serves as director. All staff paramedics are National Registry certified and Indiana licensed to perform advanced care for adult and pediatric life support.
