Perry County Memorial Hospital Welcomes First Baby of the New Year

Perry County Memorial Hospital’s first baby of 2017 arrived a few days after the new year to third-time mom, Melissa Edwards. Braxton Darnell Duke was born January 3rd at 7:49 a.m. weighing 7 pounds 10 ounces and measuring 20 inches long. On Thursday morning, Melissa, who was already up and out of her hospital gown, said Braxton is a really good baby and had some really good lungs to go with him. Braxton is the little brother to two proud sisters, ages 8 and 4. Mom was treated with a gift basket full of diapers, wipes, clothes, and a few other essentials to pamper baby Braxton. Perry County Memorial Hospital would like to welcome baby Braxton Darnell Duke into our family & community.
