Dr. Jennings offers care through all stages of life, from children to the elderly.
TELL CITY, INDIANA – Perry County Memorial Hospital announced today the addition of Dr. Stewart Jennings, MD to the Tell City Clinic. Dr. Jennings will begin seeing patients on August 15, 2013. Dr. Jennings will provide both internal medicine for adults and pediatric care at the Tell City Clinic location. Dr. Jennings served in the United States Navy as an Electronics Warfare Technician before continuing his education to become a physician. He graduated from Eastern Virginia Medical School and completed his residency at Virginia Commonwealth University. Dr. Jennings is board-certified by both the American Board of Internal Medicine and the American Board of Pediatrics.
He most recently worked at Riverside King William Medical Center, part of the 300 physician Riverside Medical Group, in Aylett, VA. Dr. Jennings’ practice in Virginia received recognition from the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) Patient-Centered Medical Home 2011 standards program for using evidence-based, patient-centered processes that focus on highly coordinated care and long-term participative relationships. Dr. Jennings also served on the Board of Directors for the Riverside Tappahannock Hospital.
Dr. Jennings and his wife Laila, along with their six children, will be relocating to Tell City. Laila is a pediatric Nurse Practitioner by training, mother and home- school teacher by choice. Dr. and Mrs. Jennings share the honor of receiving the Congressional Coalition on Adoption Institute’s Angels in Adoption Award. Dr. Jennings and his family are very active within community organizations and their church.
