John Gebhard has officially been announced the new Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Director for Perry County Memorial Hospital. John, a Perry County native, has worked for Perry County Memorial Hospital EMS for 12 years, in both staff and supervisory positions. John has held the National Registry of Paramedic Certification since 2005, has his Associates Degree in Paramedic Science, and is an Indiana Department of Homeland Security certified EMTand Paramedic Primary Instructor. He also is a Basic Life Support instructor, Advanced Cardiac Life Support instructor, Advanced Pediatric Life Support instructor and CPR instructor through the American Heart Association. John has been involved with in-hospital management training and completed several management courses. He has received numerous awards from his involvement in the community and has also been an Air Evac Lifeteam Certified Flight Paramedic since 2011.
“John has contributed significantly to the hospital’s success of providing advanced pre-hospital emergency care to our patients,” said Becky Elder, Vice President of Clinical Services at PCMH. “We are grateful to have someone as highly skilled and experienced as John on our team. As director, he will enhance the quality of the emergency medical services provided to our community.”
