Information & Resources
Making your stay easier. At Perry County Memorial Hospital, our goal is to do everything we can to make you and your guests feel safe and comfortable while you are in our care. Below is some of the information you may find helpful during your stay.
Financial Assistance
Perry County Memorial Hospital is committed to offering financial assistance to people who have health care needs and are not able to pay for care. You may be able to get financial assistance if you are not insured, underinsured, not eligible for a government program, or do not qualify for governmental assistance (for example Medicare or Medicaid). The Hospital strives to make sure that the financial capacity of people who need health care services does not prevent them from seeking or receiving care. You can view a summary of the Hospital’s Financial Assistance Policy (FAP) here or download the FAP application here.
Patient Pricing Information
Together with the Indiana Hospital Association (IHA), Perry County Memorial Hospital embraces the transparency of hospital quality and price. We believe making this data available to the public leads to more informed patients and more confidence in the health system.
The pricing information provided is representative fees for diagnosis testing, treatment, surgery and/or hospitalization. The information provided is a comprehensive list of charges for each inpatient and outpatient service or item provided by Perry County Memorial Hospital (also known as a chargemaster). These charges are not necessarily what your health insurance plan will pay or what you will owe for services received at Perry County Memorial Hospital.
There are many factors that influence the actual cost of an item or service, including insurance coverage, rates negotiated with payors and variables involved in a patient’s actual care.
Furthermore, the foregoing list of charges for services only includes charges from the hospital. It does not reflect charges for physicians, such as surgeon, anesthesiologist, radiologist, pathologists, or any other specialists or provider who may be involved in providing particular services to a patient.
Individuals with additional questions about potential costs or other financial information regarding care at Perry County Memorial Hospital should contact our Financial Counselor, Carrie Shearn, at 812-547-0148.

Community Information & Resources
Perry County is located in the extreme south central part of Indiana along the Ohio River between Evansville, Indiana and Louisville, Kentucky. About half of the county’s population lives in the incorporated communities of Tell City, Cannelton, and Troy along the river. The remaining population lives in the smaller unincorporated communities and rural areas along the river and amongst its beautiful hills and forests. We are a rural, but progressive community with an abundance of natural amenities and a good share of major national and international corporations.
